Courses in this section provide frontline staff with general medical and mental health information specific to supervising adult and juvenile offenders in a custodial setting. Staff taking courses in section will be prepared to support the effective management and delivery of medical and mental health care in prisons, jails and juvenile facilities. Courses will cover training issues such as recognizing and responding to specific health and mental health needs, privacy issues, treatment and medication administration for inmates and juveniles in custody.
